| The USB Interface uses
the Cy7C68013A Cypress FX2 chip. Besides being a
USB-2.0 interface, the chip also contains an 8051 type processor.
The program memory is RAM rather than ROM or Flash. Cypress
supplies a driver and other software. Once the driver is
installed on the PC, the PC will automatically download the firmware to
the FX2 chip. The board has been built and tested. The board power can come from either the USB bus or an extenal 5V source. |
